The first 2 leeks and the first fennel bulb

I followed Emilia Hazelip's method of cutting off the leeks just above the ground. She says that they then grow again for a second picking and that after the second picking they will then form flower heads (presumably the following season). So it will be interesting to see what happens.

One of my huge onions

I had pulled out the onions the day before yesterday and left them to dry in situ as it was lovely and hot, but it's rained heavily this evening, so now they are getting all wet. Hope they dry out again tomorrow.

The last lot of sugar snaps and a couple of broad beans!

The sugar snaps were a huge success. I think I picked the first lot on about 10th June, so that is 2 months of picking. When the pods were overgrown I just shelled them. Far better value than the pea plants.
