Thanks Gerrit for the beans!

The plums are ripe at last, so lots of work to be done... also 16 big apples from the tiny Delftweg apple tree and masses of pears to be picked.

Carrots

These must be the most misformed carrots in the history of the universe. They had a bad start as I planted the seeds in loo rolls, but despite all the maltreatment have gone on to produce delicious, if unusual looking, carrots.

Beetroot

Have picked all the beetroot to stop them growing bigger. Having eaten the first ones I was very surprised that despite being enormous they hadn't gone woody. Hope they keep alright!

Broad beans, tomatoes, the first 4 runner beans (!!) and a baby leek picked by mistake!

Having had a lousy (literally) start the broad bean plants recovered from the black fly and went on to produce a good crop, this was the last big picking (15th August - not bad!), there will be one final picking probably next week and then I can cut the plants back to make room for something else.
The tomatoes are wonderfully sweet - the little Garderer's Delight are superb. The Money Maker are a bit thick skinned but flavoursome.
Having had a really slow start the runner beans are now producing at last!
